Anna Maria Terracini was born on 17 April 1943 in Algiers and passed away in Rome on 30 March 2012. In July 1963 she obtained the Baccalauréat in Philosophy in London at the Lycée Français. From October 1963 to June 1965 she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she graduated under Professors Montanarini and Maccari in painting and engraving.
From October 1965 to December 1967 she worked at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. From September 1966 to June 1967 she followed the courses of Prof. Jean Cassou at the École Pratique des Hautes Études of the Sorbonne in Paris. From October 1965 to January 1971 she attended the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
From 1967 she attended the Italian Mosaic Workshop (Riccardo Licata) and the Engraving Workshop (Goetcz and Hayter).
