Between heaven and hell, life and death, joy and sorrow — the works of Alexandra Kordas confront the rift between redemption and damnation. Her leitmotif, the Cross, imprints powerful impulses in her works as a symbol of confrontation. Alexandra Kordas created her first artwork only in 2018. The catalyst for this creative drive was an illness affecting her son. Since then, the German artist has produced paintings, sculptures, and installations in a variety of forms and materials. Her art is shaped by current social and political crises as well as by spiritual, emotional, and intellectual influences. Her intention is to bring viewers into contact with their own soul and the pain within it.
