Born on 6 March 1952 in Orbassano, in the province of Turin. In the 1990s, thanks to a ceramicist friend, I began painting on ceramics and fabric, taking courses and working for a number of shops. Painting on ceramics remained a constant and evolved into soft oil painting, very similar to painting on canvas but applied to porcelain and ceramics. In 2011 I attended an oil painting course and began painting with good results. Encouraged by my teacher, I went on to take part in some plein-air painting competitions with modest success. In 2018 I was selected to take part in the first Chivasso Biennale, where I exhibited "Il blu del nord", a canvas in which I depicted the colours of an aurora borealis seen in Tromsø. Since then I have taken part in various plein-air events and local exhibitions, including in Liguria. In 2020 I won the international Van Gogh competition, in the impressionist category, with the work "Campo di lavande". In 2022, at the Accorsi gallery in Turin, the work "colline toscane" became part of the permanent exhibition, and again in 2022, from 2 to 9 September, at the Accorsi Arte gallery in Venice, on the occasion of the 59th Venice Biennale, I held my first solo exhibition. On 18 September I took part in a small solo show with 5 works at the opening of the Asti Art Gallery, where the works remained on display until January 2023. Also at the Accorsi gallery in Venice, I exhibited for several months a work inspired by the Spanish painter Romero, whose distinctive landscapes strike me deeply. Since 2023 I have taken part in various exhibitions with recognition, including a review by Vittorio Sgarbi for a work entitled "Oltre lo spazio", which took part in the competition for the centenary of Einstein's birth at the Accademia di Brera. I subsequently took part in international exhibitions with "Effetto Arte" and continued painting in different styles, moving somewhat away from the impressionist style and closer to the modern. In 2025 I took part in the second Chivasso Biennale with the work "Solitudine", a reinterpretation of a Picasso nude that inspired me to create an atmosphere of introspection and meditation on the world of women. I belong to various artistic groups with whom I collaborate on events and exhibitions, such as "La Voce dei Venti" and Pitturiamo, in addition to a constant presence at the Accorsi art gallery. I love the painting technique of the Impressionists, especially Monet and Van Gogh, whose colours and sensitivity strike me, different as they are from one another, but I do not overlook the possibility of a modern touch for certain subjects that particularly move me, which I have recently painted, such as the horses of the Camargue and a Christmas cottage. I do not follow a fixed subject but draw inspiration from what surrounds me or what I see. My painting is either "spontaneous" or carefully considered, depending on the subjects I take on. I live outside the city, and this has brought me closer to nature and its colours, which change with the seasons and with which I feel in harmony. I love travelling and painting the memories of the journeys I have taken, but I also photograph moments that later inspire future works. For me, painting means expressing something I carry within through the colours I feel.
