My name is Pier Giorgio and I am blind. I haven't always been. I have always loved colours very much, and since childhood I played with them: I enjoyed, for example, matching specific hues to things and people, inspired both by the handwriting and the composition of their names, creating, in my imagination, very colourful situations.
Years later my passion for the colour spectrum has remained unchanged, and even though my condition no longer allows me to perceive colours in their context, my mind is still able to remember and elaborate them with imagination.
One day I started to "play" by trying to match the various chromatic shades to song lyrics, book openings, and poems, and I thought it would be interesting to try to translate these fantasies of mine into real images, accessible to everyone. Technology came to my aid, thanks to which I was able to experiment with processing texts by creating chromatic blends that are nothing other than the fruit of the "translation" into colour of texts from books, poems and songs.
Starting from this first experiment, I resumed "playing" with the entire colour spectrum and therefore experimenting with new forms of "translation" depending on inspiration, imagination, creativity and the juxtaposition of the colours themselves, like a painter with his palette. According to the judgement of the people around me who support me, the result I have achieved is that of pleasant chromatic compositions, always different from each other, which I have decided to share on this site.
Works that will be in continuous evolution because creativity is movement.
