This work is a tribute to the African continent and above all to its inhabitants… it is said that "mal d'Africa" — the longing for Africa — truly exists, and it is indeed true: Africa is a place that reconciles us with our most primordial origins, that makes us feel connected to Mother Earth, through its people, rich in kindness and sharing, always and above all even amid the most absolute poverty, in the dignity we read in their eyes, in the simplicity of their gestures… Parrimuto captures all of this in his work, the depth and dignity in the gaze and the magnificent colours of African Mother Earth.
