Forest Wind

"Forest Wind" is an extraordinary embodiment of the symbiosis between humanity and nature, created by international artist Alessandra Viotti-Gilabert. Over an essential and feminine profile, an exuberant hairstyle stands out, adorned with coloured symbols: leaves, petals, wheat ears and golden reflections, evoking biodiversity. Viotti-Gilabert masterfully balances the delicacy of graphic design with a bold palette, transforming the hair into a vital and poetic breath. It is a powerful statement, imbued with a dreamlike elegance that reveals our intrinsic and fragile bond with the living world.

ARTISTIC APPROACH

Alessandra Viotti-Gilabert's research unfolds through pictorial cycles devoted to the exploration of universal and contemporary themes: love, dream, memory, biodiversity, the universe, water, poetry and female emancipation.

Her work is based on a process of inner elaboration in which the image does not represent but reveals. White is conceived as an active, generative field — a space of suspension in which forms and symbols emerge as traces of energy and emotional states.

The practice combines fine-tip black marker drawing with acrylic painting, enriched with iridescent pigments, gold and silver. The works are produced on hand-worked Fabriano cotton paper 360 g/m², an element that strengthens the sensitive and material dimension of the work. The visual language sits in a fusion of essential realism and lyrical abstraction, in a constant tension between control and openness, structure and dissolution.
